About The Brainstorm Garden

The Brainstorm Garden is an independent publication launched in 2026 by chemical engineer Ahmad Shaikh. It's an open home for ideas that could make the world better, from a short opinion piece to a full research paper. Engineers, architects, students, teachers, anyone with a good idea is welcome to plant one here.

Seeds, Saplings and Full Bloom

Every idea starts small, so every post is labelled by stage and you know what you're reading. Seeds are short opinion pieces and single ideas. Saplings are developed proposals with a problem, a solution and a rough sense of feasibility. Full Bloom is full research and technical work, with sources and data.

Ideas for the built world, and beyond

We especially welcome ideas on energy, water, transport, cities, food and climate. Good ideas from education, health, policy and society belong here too.
